To detect when you scroll so we can count it. The Android Accessibility Service is the only reliable way to know a swipe happened in another app the moment it happens. MindPet uses it exclusively to count scroll events on the platforms you choose to track and to show the shield when your quota is reached. It never reads your screen content, keystrokes, or personal data, and nothing leaves your device. See our Privacy Policy for the full statement.

MindPet currently tracks short-form video feeds on Instagram (Reels), YouTube (Shorts), and TikTok. You choose which of these are tracked in Settings, and each can be toggled independently. We're adding support for more platforms based on user requests.

You're always in control. To pause tracking temporarily, toggle the apps off in MindPet's Settings. To disable the service entirely, go to Android Settings → Accessibility → MindPet and switch it off. To uninstall, remove the app as you would any other. No lingering services, and all local data is deleted with it.

No. The service only wakes up on scroll events in the apps you track and does a tiny amount of counting work. There's no polling, no background location, and no network activity during tracking.

Yes. Scroll tracking, quotas, the shield, and your pet all work fully offline with no account. An account (just an email) is only needed for social features like focus battles, friend streaks, and leaderboards.

In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account for immediate, permanent deletion. Or email support@mindpet.app from your account email and we'll complete the deletion within 30 days. Uninstalling the app removes all on-device data.
