Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the MindPet app or website (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

MindPet is a digital wellbeing tool that tracks short-form video scrolling on your device, enforces user-defined limits, and adds gamification features such as a virtual pet, streaks, battles, and leaderboards. Core tracking runs locally on your device; social features require an optional account.

You agree that you will not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the app, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
• Abuse, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our APIs, servers, or other users' accounts.
• Cheat or manipulate battles, leaderboards, streaks, or focus points, including by falsifying scroll data, automating gameplay, or exploiting bugs.
• Use the Service to harass other users, or upload display names or avatars that are unlawful, hateful, or impersonate others.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice, including removing manipulated leaderboard entries.

MindPet is free to download. Some features may be offered as optional one-time purchases or subscriptions ("Premium"), billed through Google Play:

• Billing. All payments are processed by Google Play using the payment method on your Google account. Prices are shown before you confirm a purchase.
• Renewal & cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep Premium until the period ends.
• Refunds.Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@mindpet.app and we'll do our best to help.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that scroll detection will be uninterrupted or error-free on every device, Android version, or third-party app update. Platforms change frequently, and we work to keep up.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MindPet and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or $10 if you paid nothing).

The MindPet app, website, mascot, artwork, and branding are our intellectual property. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on your Android devices for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may stop using the Service at any time; uninstalling the app removes all local data, and you can delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access to it for breach of these terms.

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app and reflected in the "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
